How to select cryogenic trap pump
The choice of cryotrap pump model is mainly based on the water vapor pumping speed and vacuum chamber and vacuum chamber refrigeration coil capacity to determine, in general, the longer the pipe, the faster the gas capture speed, generally we recommend pumping speed than the existing pumping speed
Increase by 4 times, so that the vacuum time will be reduced by 30% to 80%, once the general specifications of the cryogenic capture pump and the surface area of the refrigeration coil are determined, it can be calculated for the additional various thermal loads (such as connecting pipes, heat in the production process, etc.)
Temperature and cooling capacity.
How to determine the temperature required for optimal trapping of gas
You can find the ultimate pressure of your system in the table below, and according to this pressure, the corresponding temperature value on the right side of the line is the surface temperature of the cooling coil you need, which provides 90% water vapor capture efficiency.
Note: Under specific conditions, the surface area of the refrigeration coil can be increased to improve the speed of water vapor capture, but at the same time, the heat load of the system will be increased, and users can flexibly choose according to actual needs
In actual production, the refrigeration coil of the cryotrap pump is installed in the vacuum coating machine in the following three ways:
A: Refrigeration coil installed at the valve opening B: refrigeration coil installed at the bottom of the vacuum chamber
C: Standard input device (vacuum insulated pipe) D: connecting pipe
Refrigeration coil:
Refrigeration coils can be designed according to the specific requirements of users, refrigeration coils usually have spiral, spiral, snake or other shapes or users choose. Common coils are shown in the following figure
Standard input device, 52mm diameter hole in the cavity wall, threaded connection, O-ring seal, user can also customize the input device
The connecting pipe is composed of two copper pipes and insulation materials, both ends can be welded or made into a live mouth, the length can be made according to user needs, because the pipe itself should be considered as a thermal load, so when the pipe length exceeds 4m, the larger product should be selected.
The material of the single-channel input device is stainless steel or carbon steel. A 28mm diameter hole is opened on the cavity wall and welded directly with the cavity wall. Because it is a single channel, two pieces need to be welded.

Comprehensive window: comprehensive screen has curve display, alarm query, animation demonstration, precautions, cryostat pump working flow chart and other screens
Working flow chart: When the cryostat pump is used with the vacuum coating machine, the switching time of the cryostat pump, the opening time of refrigeration and the opening time of defrosting are introduced in detail, so as to play the best performance of the trap pump.
